Why Our Skin Needs Extra Attention in Midlife
If your skin feels drier or looks different than it did a few years ago, youโre noticing a real change. During menopause, declining estrogen contributes to changes in skin moisture, thickness, and collagen. Your skincare routine may need to evolve along with your skin.
This is a wonderful time to look beyond the bathroom counter and consider your everyday habits, too.
Glow, Hydrate, and Gold: Beauty-From-Within Support
The beauty side of my Holiday Glow-Up includes three products: Glow, Hydrate, and Gold.
Each has a different role. Think of them as optional support alongside nourishing meals and consistent skincare.
Glow: Collagen-Supporting Gummies
Glow is an easy addition to a beauty-from-within routine. These gummies contain a vegan collagen-supporting blend, along with vitamins A, C, and E and biotin. They are formulated to support healthy skin, hair, and nails.
One helpful distinction: Glow contains ingredients intended to support your bodyโs collagen production rather than supplying animal-derived collagen peptides. Vitamin C plays a role in normal collagen formation.
The appeal is simple: a beauty habit that is easy to remember and keep doing.
Glowโs beauty support goes beyond skin. It is also formulated to support healthy hair and nails. Take a look below!
If youโre noticing changes in your hair during midlife, remember that results vary.

Hydrate: Make Hydration a Daily Habit
As we enter the menopause years, declining estrogen can leave our skin drier and less able to hold onto moisture. That dryness can make fine lines more noticeable. Dry skin, however, does not necessarily mean your whole body is chronically dehydrated.
Hydrate is part of my Holiday Glow-Up approach to hydration. In the AI skin analysis shared with me, drinking two Hydrate drinks daily for three weeks was associated with a reported reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. As always, results will vary.

Gold: Support for That Golden Glow
Gold is marketed to support healthy immunity and metabolic function. But an unexpected benefit keeps coming up in our conversations: radiant, golden-glow skin.
Thatโs a personal observation many of us have sharedโnot a proven effect of Gold or its turmeric. Still, itโs the reason Gold has a place in our Holiday Glow-Up conversation.
Results vary. Think of Gold as nutritional support alongside nourishing meals, hydration, and consistent skincare.
Find Gold here in both capsule and tea form.

Six More Ways to Support Your Holiday Glow
1. Add Color to Your Meals
Your daily salad can do more than make lunch look pretty.
Try leafy greens, bell peppers, tomatoes, or berries. Add a vitamin C-rich food, such as citrus, strawberries, or peppers, to your day. Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation and acts as an antioxidant.
Keep it simple. Add something colorful to the meals you already enjoy. A handful of berries at breakfast. Bell peppers with lunch. Another vegetable at dinner.
2. Include Healthy Fats
Round out your meals with foods such as salmon, walnuts, seeds, avocado, and olive oil.
Try salmon over greens with olive oil dressing. Add walnuts to your oatmeal. Sprinkle seeds over your salad.
You donโt need a complicated โbeauty diet.โ Build a varied, satisfying eating routine you can repeat.
3. Make Room for Sleep
The holiday calendar can fill quickly. Protect a little space for winding down.
Choose a realistic bedtime. Put your phone away. Give yourself permission to leave a few things for tomorrow.
Rest deserves a place on your Holiday Glow-Up list alongside your outfit and beauty plans.
4. Be Thoughtful About Alcohol
You can enjoy a celebration while being intentional about whatโs in your glass.
Alcohol can dehydrate you, and dermatologists recommend drinking less as one way to help reduce premature skin aging. Try alternating an alcoholic drink with water or choosing an alcohol-free option you enjoy.
Decide what you truly want to enjoy. Let that be a deliberate choice instead of an automatic refill.
5. Pair Inner Care With Daily Skin Protection
Skincare from within works alongside the basics on your bathroom counter.
Use a gentle cleanser, moisturize regularly, and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Sun protection remains essential, including during fall and winter. Nutritional support does not replace sunscreen.
A simple routine you follow consistently is a practical place to start.
6. Consider a Microneedling Appointment
Want to take your Holiday Glow-Up a step further? Consider booking a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist about microneedling.
This professional treatment stimulates your skinโs collagen production and may improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture. Improvements develop gradually. You may notice changes within a few weeks, while fuller results typically take several months. Some people need a series of treatments.
Plan ahead of holiday parties and photos. Allow time for redness, sensitivity, and healing, and ask your dermatologist whether the treatment is appropriate for your skin.
Start Your Holiday Glow-Up Today
You donโt have to change everything at once.
Add something colorful to your plate. Keep water within reach. Make room for rest. Be consistent with your moisturizer and sunscreen.
If you choose to add Glow, Hydrate, or Gold, let them support those habits. Follow the labels and check with your healthcare professional about suitability, especially if you take medication or other supplements.
There is still time to give yourself some attention before the holiday rush.
Letโs work toward feeling fabulous in our holiday outfitsโand stepping confidently into the photos.
