Day Two of the YouTube Holiday House Creator Conference took us inside Googleโ€™s Spruce Goose hangar in Los Angeles. It was a full day of learning, catching up with friends, and gathering ideas to help YOU with holiday fashion and gift shopping.

I left with plenty of notesโ€”and an even longer to-do list!

Google Spruce Hangar

A Historic Los Angeles Hangar With a Remarkable New Purpose

Before we talk holiday gifts, I have to tell you about the setting.

Located in Playa Vista, the hangar was built for the construction of Howard Hughesโ€™ H-4 Hercules airplane, famously known as the โ€œSpruce Goose.โ€ Years later, it became a soundstage for films including Titanic. Quite a history for one building!

Google worked with ZGF Architects to transform the landmark into a modern workplace while preserving its historic wooden structure. The design places a four-level, more than 450,000-square-foot โ€œbuilding within a buildingโ€ inside the enormous hangar. The original timber frame remains visible around the new spaces.

It was a pretty fabulous place to spend a day learning.

Why I Love Being Part of the YouTube Creator Community

What I love most about YouTube is the investment I see in creator success. Helping me become a better creator helps me better serve you.

That was the heart of Holiday House.

Yesterdayโ€™s program gave us ideas and practical tips for helping our viewers with holiday gifting. For me, that means thinking about how I can make your holiday shopping easier, your outfit planning more enjoyable, and my recommendations more useful.

You are busy. You have people to shop for, events to dress for, and plenty of everyday responsibilities in between. I want the time you spend with my content to help you.

Holiday Gift Shopping Is Starting Earlier

One of the most interesting takeaways from the conference was how early holiday shopping is getting underway.

According to the research shared during the presentation, holiday gift buying picked up the week before Halloween in 2024. In 2025, that uptick came during the first week of October.

YouTubeโ€™s published research also found that 94% of holiday shoppers who use YouTube reported taking a further step toward a purchase after watching a related video. That finding came from a Google-commissioned Ipsos study covering October 2025 through January 2026.

To me, that is a reminder of the responsibility that comes with sharing recommendations. You are looking for useful information to help you decide where to spend your money.

And I want to be ready when you need it.

Yes, Iโ€™m Already Working on Holiday Gift Guides!

So I am busy, busy, busy getting holiday gift guides ready for you ladies!

The ideas from yesterday have me thinking about how to organize those guides, explain my recommendations, and help you find gifts that make sense for the people on your list.

Of course, holiday fashion is part of the planning, too. Iโ€™m excited to bring you outfit inspiration for the gatherings, dinners, and celebrations ahead.

Time With Creator Friends, Old and New

As much as I enjoyed the learning, spending time with fellow creators and friends was another highlight.

It was wonderful to catch up with familiar faces and make new friends along the way. We spend so much time creating independently. Having the chance to sit together, exchange ideas, and encourage one another means a lot.

Iโ€™m Coming Home With Ideas for You

Between the historic setting, the conversations, and everything we learned, Day Two gave me so much to bring home.

I canโ€™t wait to put it into practice and share it with you this holiday season.

Tell me in the comments: who is the hardest person on your holiday gift list?

With love,
Valarie
