Laissez les bons temps rouler! ⚜️💜🥃
Day Two in New Orleans was just good for my soul.
👟💕 My day started off with a long walk down Canal Street and down the riverfront. I was so disappointed to see that the aquarium and butterfly conservancy are closed! At any rate, I needed to burn off some serious calories after all that I’ve eaten in Nola. 🥰🥣🐊🦐
🦞🥣 Speaking of food, we stopped into Felix’s for lunch. (I was not wowed by our breakfast.) Crawfish Étouffée, Turtle Soup, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Oyster Stew, and Crawfish Pie. Every last bite was impressive.
🥃 From there, we toured the Sarzerac House, which boasts to have created the *original* New Orleans cocktail. It was a totally free tour and worth the stop. Swanky!
🎶 No trip to New Orleans is complete without taking in live music. The Drinkery never disappoints with its live music…the band even sang a song for me. 🥰
🥂💕🍾 Dinner was at Augustine – a two star Michelin menu never disappoints. That may have been the best escargot I’ve ever put in my mouth. 🐌
The adventure continues today so stay tuned. I can’t wait to show you my outfit for dinner tonight!
