Self Care Sunday: that “care” includes taking care of your mind, soul…and body.

I’m 47 years old. I’ve talked in previous post about how I’m really struggling with getting older but trying to find ways to age with grace and style. Some of the most frustrating effects of growing older are the body changes that come along with turning 40 … anyone else experiencing that mid-life weight gain??? And it’s not just weight gain! Breasts and butt start to sag, body skin loses its elasticity, hips grow wider, and muscle tone starts to diminish.
But the number aspect of aging that I’ve whole-heartedly committed myself to is fighting the signs of aging from the inside out:
☑️ I switched from ballet barre back to the weight training of my younger years…high reps, heavy weights.
☑️ I drink A LOT of water – almost 100 ounces a day. My dermatologist says this is the #1 thing you can do to fight the signs of aging.
☑️ I eat lean protein and greens, all day everyday. And I’m rarely hungry!
So how do I tie all of this to the photo here? I wanted you to see that you CAN feel comfortable with your new post-40 mature body. You CAN reverse that weight gain and those body changes. You CAN feel comfortable in you own skin again! And you CAN take a photo in your underwear, post it on social media…and not be horrified by the whole ordeal! 🤣🤣🤣
