Recently, a member of our community requested holiday outfits that are not red, green, or sparkly. At first, her request confounded me: how does one dress in the holiday spirit if she isn’t wearing the traditional colors of the season?

But during a recent trip to Target, I had an ah-HA moment: one can dress in the holiday spirit with the TEXTURES of the season rather than the colors! These two coats from Target opened my eyes to another way to dress for the holidays. First, the faux fur ivory belted coat from A New Day conveys the warm and fuzzy feeling of the holidays without any bling. While the long coat is a little more formal and dressy, this short sherpa anorak jacket by Universal Threads conveys all the holiday warm and fuzzy feels in a more casual way. And the best part? Who is headed to another home for winter? 🙋🏼‍♀️💕🌴 We are headed to our primary home near Key West this week…and holy moly is packing up the family stressful. My blood pressure was through the roof yesterday. I’m sure I will forget to do something! Nonetheless, I am excited to go home and see our friends and neighbors. We lived in Florida full time for 12 years…but I missed the change of seasons. So now we split our time between my husband’s hometown in Northern Michigan and the Florida Keys.
