Why would a busy lawyer start a fashion blog for midlife women?

Let me tell you my “why”.

I want midlife women to feel good about their appearance.  I want to help women over 40, women over 50, women over 60, and women over 70 to dress in a way that boosts confidence and self-esteem.  And when a woman feels confident and comfortable in her appearance, she exudes and projects positivity to others.

Overall, fashion can empower a woman to embrace her own unique qualities and feel confident in her own skin.  This ultimately leads to a more positive personal outlook and a fulfilling sense of self-esteem.

Midlife ladies, I am here to help YOU find confidence and comfort through fashion.  I want YOU to feel that boost of self-esteem and positivity that comes along with it.  If this resonates with you, simply comment YES below.

Now let me tell you about some of the things I believe in when it comes to fashion!

Simplified, Classic Style

Classic style in fashion refers to timeless, elegant, and sophisticated clothing choices that never go out of style. It often involves simple, clean lines, neutral colors, and tailored silhouettes. Classic pieces typically include items such as a well-fitted blazer, crisp white button-down shirt, tailored trousers, little black dress, and a well-made trench coat. These wardrobe staples can be mixed and matched to create a variety of chic and polished looks. Classic style is all about investing in quality pieces that will stand the test of time and can be worn season after season. It exudes a sense of refinement and sophistication, making it a go-to choice for those who appreciate timeless elegance in their wardrobe.

Neutral Colors

Curating a wardrobe of neutral wardrobe pieces will allow you to almost endlessly mix and match clothing pieces to create endless outfits. There is just something inherently elegant:

Neutral colors in fashion, such as black, white, beige, gray, and navy, are often considered inherently elegant for several reasons. Firstly, neutral colors have a timeless and classic appeal that never goes out of style. They are versatile and can easily be mixed and matched with other colors and patterns, making them a staple in any wardrobe.

Neutral colors also have a sophisticated and understated quality that exudes a sense of refinement and elegance. They create a clean and polished look that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Additionally, neutral colors have a calming and soothing effect, creating a sense of balance and harmony in an outfit.

Overall, neutral colors in fashion are often seen as elegant because they provide a versatile and timeless base for any outfit, allowing the wearer to showcase their personal style and accessories while maintaining a sense of sophistication and class.

Shop Your Closet FIRST

One of things that you will hear me say over and over again is that you should always SHOP YOUR CLOSET FIRST before you hit the add to cart button. See what you already have in your wardrobe before you buy anything new. But once you’ve made that assessment, it’s totally okay to supplement your wardrobe when needed.

YOU Should Be the Star of the Show, NOT Your Outfit

One key aspect of simplifying your style is to remember that you are the star of the show, not your outfit. Your clothes should enhance your natural beauty and personality, not overshadow them. When you walk into a room, you want people to see you first, not your flashy clothes or accessories.

Summing It Up…

So if you are a woman over 40, women over 50, women over 60, women over 70, OR woman over 80 (I didn’t forget you ladies), let’s connect and I will help you look stylish in your midlife years…starting with what is already in your closet!
