How I Packed for a Weekend Charleston Getaway

✈️ While this past week marked my 50th birthday, it also marked by 14th flight in a little over a month. I’ve been on 14 airplanes in a little over a month…so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to traveling, packing, and travel organization. From Atlanta to Augusta to the Florida Panhandle to Nashville to Alabama to Jacksonville to Charleston…and Japan in just two weeks, I have been on the go this month. With that said, I’ve got this travel packing thing down to a science.

🥳 If you read my “Charleston Travel Capsule Wardrobe” post, then you know everything I packed to celebrate my 50th birthday in Charleston, South Carolina. But I used these gadgets to in the process:

Packing Cubes: all of my clothing fit in three packing cubes with no compression needed.

20” Carryon Suitcase: while TSA allows a 22” carryon suitcase, I used only a 20” carryon and had room left over. As for scuffs and stains, those wash right off in the airport restroom with a damp paper towel.

Makeup Cases: I used one makeup case for my makeup and a smaller case for my liquids…both of the clear-sided cases I show are TSA-approved.

Charging Cable Organizer: I swear by this one. I have way to many charging cables to try to store them in random places in my suitcase. This organizer keeps them all together…and *tidy*.

3-in-1 Charger for Apple Devices: makes charging my iPhone, earbuds, and Apple Watch so easy.

Pashmina for cold planes…and WOW was my last flight 🥶.

Suitcase Coffee Holder: this one is my favorite. This coffee holder fits on the handle of my suitcase and allows me to walk hands-free through the airport. And it holds two cups: one for me…and one for YOU.

☕️📲So tell me in the comments below WHAT IS YOUR AIRPORT COFFEE ORDER?!

✈️💕🧳 Bon Voyage,

Valarie

I am barely 5’1 with a 26” inseam and generally wear size 4P. All items fit TTS (true to size) unless otherwise stated.
