I posted on Instagram that I will not be recommending high waist jeans for midlife women. As you can see in the video below, I do not have a tummy…yet these high waist jeans make me look like I have a big belly. I do not have big hips…yet these high waist jeans make me look like I have big hips. And when I turn sideways, the high rise jeans make my bottom look long and distorted. For these reasons, I will not be recommending high waisted jeans for you.

What do I recommend you do with these high-rise jeans? I say we load up a DeLorean full of them and send them back to July 3, 1985…where they belong!

Instead, I find that midrise jeans are much more flattering on midlife women. I have been on a “jeans hunt” for over a year now yet I have only found three pairs that are totally acceptable for midlife women: boyfriend, crop, and skinny…and no gaping holes in any of them!
