My two biggest YouTube videos of all time are:
This proves that you ladies are as obsessed with European fashion as I am!
So this got me thinking: what do European women do when their outfits “aren’t outfitting” or don’t look just right? After watching HOURS of summer street fashion videos from Paris, Madrid, and Rome, I decided to have some fun and ask ChatGPT for help. I played around with the AI suggestions and here are the results!
PARIS
ChatGPT Prompt: If a Parisian woman’s summer outfit was slightly off, what would she do to make it fabulous?
ChatGPT Answer: Love this question—French women are known for their effortless style, and when something feels off, they don’t usually start over—they refine. If a French woman’s summer outfit was slightly off, here’s what she might do to elevate it:
1. Edit Ruthlessly
- She’d likely remove something before adding more—like ditching a fussy necklace or overly trendy bag.
- French style leans on less is more. Clean lines, fewer distractions, more confidence.
2. Add One Signature Touch
- A silk scarf tied around the neck, a pair of cat-eye sunglasses, or red lipstick could instantly elevate the look.
- The idea: one stylish detail that looks personal, not try-hard.
3. Adjust the Fit or Silhouette
- She’d subtly tuck, unbutton, or roll something to make the outfit fall better.
- Example: unbuttoning the top of a blouse slightly, cuffing jeans, or cinching the waist of a dress with a leather belt.
4. Swap in Better Shoes
- Footwear can instantly shift the outfit’s vibe. She might trade chunky sandals for espadrilles, ballet flats, or sleek slides.
- Even flat shoes feel chic when they’re minimal and well-made.
5. Incorporate a Luxe-Looking Basic
- She’d possibly swap a cheap tee for a well-cut linen blouse, or a stiff dress for something fluid and elegant.
- Fabrics matter—a crumpled cotton might feel off, while a slouchy silk blouse says effortlessly styled.
Bonus: Check Her Posture & Attitude
- Style isn’t just clothing—it’s presence. She might fix her outfit, but she’d also carry herself with nonchalant confidence, even in a simple look.

MADRID
ChatGPT Prompt: I am a woman in Madrid. My summer outfit is slightly off. In traditional Spanish fashion style, what should I do to fix my outfit?
ChatGPT Answer: Got it—you’re in Madrid, and you want to tweak your outfit to align with modern Spanish fashion, not necessarily the traditional romantic style. Madrid street style blends effortless polish, bold confidence, and minimalist chic with flashes of Mediterranean personality. So if your outfit feels slightly off, here’s how to fix it the modern Spanish way:
1. Refine the Fit—No Sloppiness Allowed
- Fix: Tuck it, belt it, or tailor the shape slightly. A sleek silhouette always wins.
- Why: Spanish women in Madrid often wear clothing that fits just right—structured without being stiff, relaxed without looking lazy.
2. Add One High-Impact Element – FOCAL POINT
- Fix: Statement sunglasses, bold shoes, a cool crossbody, or even just a red lip.
- Why: Modern Spanish style is built on simple pieces + one sharp accent. Think monochrome outfit + chunky gold jewelry or black slip dress + edgy sandal.
3. Swap for a Smarter Shoe
- Fix: Trade basic sneakers or flip-flops for espadrille platforms, strappy leather sandals, or minimalist mules.
- Why: Footwear matters. Even in heat, shoes are stylish, structured, and intentional in Madrid. Sandals often have clean lines or a bit of height.
4. Stick to a Controlled Color Palette
- Fix: If your outfit has too many colors or prints, tone it down with NEUTRALS!
- Why: Modern Madrid style often uses neutrals with a bold pop—think white + tan + red, or black + olive + gold. Less chaotic, more elevated.
5. Choose Elevated Basics with Personality
- Fix: Swap a plain tee for a linen button-down, or basic shorts for high-waisted trousers or a midi skirt.
- Why: Basics in Spain aren’t boring—they’re refined. Quality fabrics and cut elevate even the simplest outfit.
Bonus: Confidence and Intentionality
- Fix: If your look feels unsure, remove the “extra.” Spanish modern style is minimal but bold—a woman who knows what she’s wearing and why.
- Why: In Madrid, style is often quiet but self-assured. No need to over-style—just make every element feel deliberate.

ROME
ChatGPT Prompt: I am a woman in Rome. My summer outfit doesn’t look just right. What can I do to make it look fabulous?
ChatGPT Answer: You’re in Rome—a city where even casual style carries an air of eleganza naturale. Modern Italian summer fashion is refined, sensual, and unfussy, built on beautiful silhouettes, quality over quantity, and confidence. If your outfit feels slightly off, here’s how to fix it the Italian way:
1. Refine the Fit — Nothing Should Sag or Pull
- Fix: Adjust proportions. Tuck in a blouse, tighten a belt, or swap wide bottoms for slim (or vice versa).
- Why: Italian women prioritize shape. Even a flowy dress skims the body just right—never baggy or stretched.
2. Upgrade One Fabric or Item
- Fix: Trade out anything that looks or feels cheap (polyester tops, overly casual shorts).
- Why: Even in the heat, Italians favor natural, breathable fabrics like linen, silk, cotton, viscose—light but luxe.
3. Focus on a Sophisticated Color Palette
- Fix: If your outfit has too many brights or mixed prints, tone it down. Opt for neutrals + one accent color. Colors are RICH not LOUD.
- Why: Roman women love timeless tones—white, black, olive, beige, terracotta, gold—with just a hint of statement (like coral lips or a citron bag).
4. Polish with ONE Elegant Accessory
- Fix: Add gold jewelry, oversized sunglasses, a leather belt, or a sleek straw bag.
- Why: Italians don’t over-accessorize, but the one piece they wear? Always intentional and high-quality.
5. Level Up the Shoes
- Fix: Trade athletic sneakers or plastic sandals for strappy flats, woven leather slides, espadrilles, or low block heels.
- Why: Italians walk everywhere—but they still choose chic, wearable shoes that elevate even the simplest outfit.
6. Make the Look Effortlessly “Done”
- Fix: Add a final touch—red lips, tousled bun, open shirt collar, or scarf in your hair.
- Why: Italian style often includes a “nonchalant detail” that looks spontaneous but totally elevates the look.
7. Ask: Is the Look Simple but Confident?
- Fix: If something feels fussy or overthought, remove one piece.
- Why: Italian women tend to subtract rather than add. They aim for that clean, confident “I threw this on, and it worked” energy.
